Philadelphia Airport Just Got a New 20,000-square-foot Chase Sapphire Lounge—With Cheesesteaks, Arcade Games, and a Beer Garden

Travelers have new ways to relax in the city of brotherly love. 

Philadelphia International Airport, a hub for American Airlines and focus city for Frontier Airlines, recently opened a new Chase Sapphire Lounge by The Club. The 20,000 square-foot lounge is located in the middle of Terminal D and E, and features local culinary touches including Philly cheesesteaks, a beer garden, and a mural designed by artist James Burns. 

The lounge also features fun elements such as retro arcade games, as well as multiple large screen televisions for gaming. The space also has traditional amenities from personal showers to quiet resting areas. Families will be able to utilize separate play areas for children.

The lounge is accessible to select cardholders of Chase Bank, including the Chase Sapphire Reserve card, and non-cardholders who have Priority Pass can access for a $75 fee. The bank provides full entry options on its website.  

“We have been excited for the opening of the Chase Sapphire Lounge since it was first announced and we know that our guests will love the attention Chase Sapphire paid to celebrating Philadelphia in the design and offerings of the space,” Philadelphia International Airport CEO Atif Saeed shared in a statement.

Over 30.8 million passengers flew through Philadelphia International Airport in 2024, which is a 9.8 percent increase from 2023, according to airport data.

In addition to American and Frontier, several other airlines operate service from Philadelphia International Airport including Aer Lingus, Air Canada, Alaska, Delta, JetBlue, Southwest, Spirit, and United. 

Chase’s recently opened lounge joins other banks that have opened new lounges. This week, Capital One opened a brand new lounge at Las Vegas’ Harry Reid International Airport. The lounge has special Las Vegas touches including artwork from local artists, private workspaces, custom pottery from Las Vegas artisans. 

In 2024, American Express opened a 26,000 square foot lounge in Hartsfield-Jackson Atlanta International Airport. The space brings the outside in with a 50-year-old Olive tree, and over 4,000 feet of outdoor patio space.
