Planning an end-of-year getaway? Spirit Airlines has dozens of flight deals for travel over the next three months, but you’ll want to act quickly to book.
“Fall break is a terrible thing to waste,” the airline shared about the sale on its website. “Grab a great fare, ditch the same ole, same ole, and make some lasting memories.”
The airline’s “Create Your Own Fall Break” sale ends tomorrow, Oct. 22, at 11:59 p.m. ET, and is valid for travel between Oct. 28 and Jan. 21, 2025. A seven-day advance purchase is required, and all eligible fares are already discounted on Spirit’s website. However, there are several blackout dates mostly centered around the holidays:
- Nov. 26 to 27
- Nov. 29 to Dec. 1
- Dec. 16 to Jan. 3
- All Friday and Sunday travel excluded
Travel + Leisure searched through the list and found these one-way fares bookable for the lowest $45 price point:
- Atlanta (ATL) to/from Minneapolis (MSP) and Philadelphia (PHL)
- Charleston (CHS) to/from New York (LGA) and Fort Lauderdale (FLL)
- Houston (IAH) to/from New Orleans (MSY) and Tampa (TPA)
- Las Vegas (LAS) to/from Burbank (BUR), Columbus (CMH), and Kansas City (MCI)
- San Diego (SAN) to/from Oakland (OAK) and San Jose (SJC)
The discounted fares fall under Spirit’s “Go” fare class, the most restrictive ticket option, allowing passengers to bring only a personal item but now offering no change or cancellation fees. Spirit overhauled its fare structure earlier this summer with three service levels: “Go Savvy,” “Go Comfy,” and “Go Big,” each offering varying amenities like free bags, a blocked middle seat, and more.
The airline has also made recent upgrades to its services by rolling out free Wi-Fi to Spirit Gold elite members. This status is earned by accumulating at least 5,000 Status Qualifying Points (SQPs) in a calendar year, which is equivalent to spending $5,000 with the airline.
