Low-cost airline Norse Atlantic Airways is making it easier to get to Europe from the West Coast with a new flight to Rome launching next summer.

The flight will connect Los Angeles International Airport (LAX) and Rome’s Leonardo da Vinci–Fiumicino Airport (FCO) starting May 22, 2025, Norse Atlantic shared with Travel + Leisure. The flight will operate three times each week.

“We are proud to introduce this exciting new route connecting Los Angeles and Rome, two of the world’s most dynamic cities,” Bjorn Tore Larsen, the CEO and founder of Norse Atlantic Airways, said in a statement shared with T+L. “Our passengers will have the opportunity to explore the deep history of Rome, all while enjoying our affordable and comfortable flights.”

Tickets for the new flight start at just $199 one-way, including taxes, according to the airline.

In addition to the new Rome flight, the carrier will resume flying between Los Angeles and Oslo next year for its third consecutive summer. The flights will operate from May 23, 2025, through Sept. 26 up to three times each week.

Tickets for that flight start at $240 one-way, including taxes.

Norse Atlantic, which was founded in 2021, now operates a fleet of Boeing 787 Dreamliner aircraft and flies to several cities in the United States, including New York, Los Angeles, Miami, Orlando, and Las Vegas. Once onboard, travelers have a choice between two cabins: economy and premium, which features a 43-inch seat pitch and a 12-inch recline.

Recently, Norse Atlantic started including 22-pound carry-on bags in its Economy Light fares when the flight is booked directly on the airline’s website. Different rules may apply to flights booked with a third party.

The airline is currently offering up to 15 percent off select flights to Europe when booked by Nov. 2, or until the sale is sold out, with the promo code “TREAT24.” The sale is then valid for travel from Nov. 15 through March 31, 2025.
