Planning a spring break vacation just got cheaper.
Sun Country Airlines recently announced a new promotion offering deep discounts to international destinations, including Aruba, Cancun, Turks and Caicos, St. Maarten, Puerto Vallarta, and more. Best of all, the travel deals are all spread out throughout the popular spring break travel season in March and April 2025.
The “International Booking Sale” is valid on travel between February and April 2025, and tickets are for sale as long as supply lasts.
The airline operates its flights from the Minneapolis–Saint Paul International Airport, which is also a major hub for other airlines including Delta Air Lines, making it easy for passengers to catch a flight on Sun Country as well.
Travel + Leisure spotted one-way economy fares from Minneapolis/St. Paul in the sale for travel throughout Spring 2025 including:
- Belize City from $76
- Cozumel from $101
- Los Cabos from $134
- Mazatlan from $111
- Montego Bay from $110
- Puerto Vallarta for $106
- Punta Cana from $114
- St. Maarten from $75
The destinations in the sale include some recently featured as reader favorites in T+L’s 2024 World’s Best Awards including the Cayman Islands from $74 one-way, and Turks and Caicos, which has one-way deals from $85.
Puerto Vallarta is home to newly opened or renovated resorts including the Hyatt Ziva Puerto Vallarta, Miraval Distinct Luxury Residences, and Hilton Vallarta Riviera All-inclusive Resort.
Travelers may also consider adding an extended layover in Minneapolis, as the city is home to famed attractions such as the Mall of America and U.S. Bank Stadium, where the NFL’s Minnesota Vikings play. Over 34.7 million passengers flew through the airport in 2023.
Experts have previously shared with T+L that a 60-day advance window is the best time to start booking international flights, making the deal even more lucrative because it allows passengers to get a jump start on spring break travel planning.
