Planning a winter vacation just got easier with new fare deals from Alaska Airlines — and discounts are available using cash or miles.
“The slopes aren’t going to hit themselves,” the airline shared about the promotion on its website. “Book your next winter getaway and choose from hundreds of routes on sale.”
The sale ends tomorrow, Nov. 14, at 11:59 p.m. PT, and is available for travel dates between Dec. 5 and March 19, 2025. Alaska Airlines notes that discounted tickets are offered on a first-come, first-served basis and may not be available every day.
All mileage redemptions will incur $5.60 in additional taxes and fees for a one-way ticket. Passengers can enter their home airport to find the eligible sale flights, though Travel + Leisure found the following deals:
- Boise (BOI) to/from Bozeman (BZN): $49 or 4,000 miles
- Los Angeles (LAX) to/from Reno (RNO): $59 or 4,000 miles
- Seattle (SEA) to/from Salt Lake City (SLC): $69 or 4,000 miles
- Washington, D.C. (IAD) to/from San Diego (SAN): $129 or 10,000 miles
- Chicago (ORD) to/from Portland (PDX): $99 or 7,500 miles
- San Francisco (SFO) to/from Honolulu (HNL): $119 or 7,500 miles
These deals fall under Alaska’s Saver fare class, the airline’s basic economy offering, which allows free cancellation within 24 hours but offers only a 50 percent credit for cancellations made at least 14 days before departure. Travelers can bring one personal item and a carry-on bag that fits in the overhead bin, though seat assignments are made at check-in 24 hours before departure.
Saver fares earn mileage credit based on distance, with one mile awarded for every mile flown on Alaska Airlines. However, elite members of Alaska’s loyalty program will not qualify for complimentary upgrades with Saver fares and will need to book Main Cabin to be eligible.
