A warm weather getaway to the Dominican Republic just got easier and cheaper.

Low-cost carrier Arajet recently announced new flights from Miami to Punta Cana that will operate six times per week, starting on April 11, 2025. Best of all, the airline is celebrating the new routes with fares discounted up to 50 percent off. The discounted fares are available by entering the promotional code LOVE2025 during the checkout process. The code expires on February 16, 2025, so travelers will need to act quickly to secure the savings. The promotional code is only valid for bookings with two or more travelers, and does not apply to taxes or fees.

Travel + Leisure spotted one-way fares as low as $165.99 for Miami to Punta Cana, before any discounts were applied.

The new route will operate between Miami International Airport (MIA) and Punta Cana (PUJ). Arajet also operates a wide route map from its hubs in the Dominican Republic, including service to Mexico City, Toronto, Montreal, Bogota, Quito, and Peru. While travelers can enjoy Punta Cana or Santo Domingo as final destinations, they can also utilize these two cities as hubs for connections throughout South America.

The 50 percent discount fare sale, with promotion code LOVE2025, can also be applied to the other destinations that Arajet flies to. The airline operates a brand-new fleet of Boeing aircraft each named in recognition of a protected area of the Dominican Republic to celebrate the company’s heritage.

Known for its popular family-friendly and adults-only all-inclusive resorts, Punta Cana is an efficient two hour and 36 minute flight from Miami. T+L has previously spotlighted resorts such as Hyatt Zilara Cap Cana, Secret Tides Punta Cana, and the Margaritaville Island Reserve Cap Cana Hammock.

More than 8.5 million people visited the Dominican Republic in 2024, according to Tourism Statistics, which was a 5.9 percent increase in visitors from 2023.
