Booking your next flight just got easier with Avelo Airlines thanks to a generous 30 percent discount.
Avelo’s “Let’s Fly” sale, which must be booked by Wednesday, Jan. 22, at 11:59 p.m. PT, is valid for travel dates from Jan. 29 to May 19. However, the discount code won't apply on a few blackout dates during peak spring break season, including March 18 to 31 and April 11 to 22.
Travelers must use promo code “FLY30” on round-trip bookings only — one-way flights aren’t eligible — when searching for flights directly on Avelo’s website. The 30 percent savings will apply to the base fare of a ticket, which excludes government taxes or carrier-imposed fees.
Whether it’s for a Valentine’s Day getaway or a last-minute ski trip, Travel + Leisure tested out the latest promo code on several round-trip flights:
- Sonoma County (STS) to/from Salt Lake City (SLC): $68 ($84 without the promo code)
- New Haven (HVN) to/from Charleston (CHS): $92 ($118 without the promo code)
- Wilmington (ILG) to/from Fort Myers (RSW): $121 ($156 without the promo code)
- Orlando-Lakeland (LAL) to/from San Juan (SJU): $139 ($170 without the promo code)
- Hartford (BDL) to/from Montego Bay, Jamaica (MBJ): $282 ($319 without the promo code)
Avelo has recently started service to popular Caribbean destinations, making it cheaper than ever to travel to the Dominican Republic, Puerto Rico, and Jamaica. In addition, the airline has a strong presence along the East Coast, offering flights from smaller airports to popular cities.
However, as a budget carrier, Avelo charges extra for seat assignments, carry-on bags, and checked luggage. While the Airline does not yet have a frequent flier program, those who apply for the Capital One Venture Card through the airline can score up to $200 in trip credit and priority boarding on Avelo Airlines, among other benefits.
